Storytelling / Agarwood, also called oud, forms in the heartwood of aquilaria trees when they become infected with a special type of fungus (Phialophora parasitica). Before the infection, the heartwood is odourless, relatively light and pale; as the infection progresses, the tree produces a dark aromatic resin, called oud or oodh, in response to the attack, resulting in a very dense, dark resinous wood. The resin-embedded wood is valued in Arab and Middle Eastern culture for its distinctive fragrance and is therefore used for incense and perfumes. The aromatic qualities of agarwood (oud) are influenced by the species, the geographical location, its branch, history and root origin, the length of time since infection, and the methods of harvesting and processing. First-grade oud is one of the world’s most expensive raw materials.

Our soothing cucumber extract is a bioactive antioxidant with vitamin C and the polyphenol caffeic acid, which helps to calm inflammation and oxidative stress in the skin. The extract smells of fresh cucumber. 

The scent / The seed of the tropical hibiscus flower has an exceptionally long-lasting scent; distinctive, with undertones of musk, characterised by smelling almost waxy, animalic, balsamic, sensual, deeply floral and salty at the same time. Our clinically documented vitamin C is a potent and stable antioxidant that protects against free radicals. With regular use, vitamin C effectively helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, spots, acne and hyperpigmentation, and to brighten scar tissue and dark circles. Its ability to increase firmness and stimulate collagen production in the skin makes vitamin C a true multitasker in the skincare routine.

Our vitamin C in CLEAR 03 is stable and protects against oxidation of the skin from UV rays, pollution and smoke – and does not make the skin photosensitive. That said, we recommend using SPF if you plan to be in the sun while using vitamin C in your skincare, as some skin types are more sensitive to the sun than others. In the Journal of Tissue Viability, published on Sciencedirect.com, studies show that using 5% urea gives the same exfoliating result as 20% – but by using 5% urea you get a formulation that is milder and has a lower risk of irritation than the higher concentrations, which is important for daily use on sensitive skin such as heels and arches.

Extracted from the small seeds of sea buckthorn, a little power berry that grows on wild, green bushes along the coast. The oil is packed with skin-improving omega 3 and 6 and has a high content of vitamins A, C and E – antioxidants with strong protective properties against free radicals and the effects of the dry Danish air and wind.
