Oud from the agarwood tree, also known as ‘liquid gold’ in the world of perfumery, is the star of URBAN OUD. Extracted from the resin of the agarwood tree, it is one of the most valuable perfume ingredients in existence. Musk-heavy, sexy, rare, animalic, intoxicating and alluring – there are many words to describe this historic, incomparable and complex essential oil. In a beautiful, raw composition with smoky notes of guaiac wood and sandalwood, and balsamic woody notes of labdanum and benzoin resin, the base notes of the fragrance come together in this unrivalled unisex masterblend.

URBAN OUD Eau de Parfum – a woody fragrance

The woody fragrance family is dominated by warm, dry and distinctive raw, smoky and earthy notes. Drawing on the use of resin, bark, pine cones, moss, leaves and the roots of the earth, the woody notes paint a picturesque scene of untamed nature and deep forests. Fragrances in the woody family are often powerful and evoke a deep sense of connection to the earth, self-confidence, desire and attraction. Whilst woody notes are often used in masculine fragrances, they also appeal to women when blended into feminine fragrance compositions with spices, flowers or fruity notes.

Spray the perfume onto your skin, hair or clothes. You can either choose to spray the perfume onto your body’s pulse points – the crook of your elbow, your wrists, the backs of your knees and behind your ears – or you can spray a fan of perfume into the air and ‘walk into the cloud’, so that the scent is evenly distributed over your body. …Or, as Coco Chanel said, “spray your perfume where you’d like to be kissed.” 

Ideally, perfume develops best on undisturbed skin. This means you should avoid rubbing your wrists together and should spray your perfume onto bare skin before getting dressed. Wait 20–30 seconds to let the fragrance develop on your warm skin. A perfume is like a bouquet of flowers that needs to unfold. If you have time, let the fragrance rest on your skin for about 10 minutes before getting dressed, allowing it to reach its full potential.
