Wake your skin from Winter hibernation with a springtime transition in your skincare regime

The bright new season calls to refresh and rethink your trusted skincare basics - stick to the tried and trusted routine, but tweak the layers and textures to adapt to sunnier days and higher humidity levels. Here’s our top advice for welcoming the Spring skin transition.

Spring cleaning of the skincare shelf

- Give your skincare shelf a spring clean. Clean your brushes, check the expiry dates on all your products, wipe off bottles and jars, make space for change and new beginnings. You can use a soap-free shampoo or TINY dry brush cleanser to clean your brushes.

- Maybe you could do the same in your wardrobe? The skin’s "second layer". Pass on the clothes that no longer feel comfortable on your body, or that don’t make you feel at ease.

- Air out your home daily, shake your duvets, blankets and pillows - make space for new, fresh energy.

- Remove dry, dead winter skin with daily dry brushing, weekly exfoliating scrubs, a peeling face mask and foot cream to help bring out healthy, radiant spring skin.

Facial cleansing - and purifying

- Cleanse your skin thoroughly or try double cleansing after using sunscreen. This helps you avoid clogged pores after lovely days in the sun with your indispensable sun protection. Try MUSE cleansing balm, a balancing, oil-based cleanser with softening plant oils, or DAZE cleansing lotion, a mild, soothing cleansing milk with caring and nourishing properties. Both are ideal for daily cleansing.

- Get your body going with exercise that gets your pulse up and the sweat running. It could be running or dancing - your body loves any kind of movement. Exercise helps boost circulation and gives you a glow. At the same time, the pores of your skin open when you sweat – which naturally flushes out waste products and expels dirt and sebum. It works almost like a cleansing mini-facial. Find more inspiration in our article DO YOU move?

- When the temperature rises, so does the skin’s oil production for many people. That is why not everyone needs skincare that is as nourishing as in winter. Switch to a lighter cream or take a summer break from face oil. Check in with your skin before you decide on the day’s skincare ritual.

- Enjoy the light! It is so important for our mental wellbeing. Leave your sunglasses at home every now and then, and let the life-giving light reach your retina. Read more in our article Why daylight is so important for you.

- Keep your face mist close at hand to help your skin retain moisture and to cool it down pleasantly.
