These terms & conditions apply from 1 January 2022.

Klub Karmameju is run by Karmameju ApS (“We”, “Us”, “Our”), CVR no. 26198771, Rentemestervej 62, 2. t.v., 2400 København NV.

Klub Karmameju is a benefits programme that lets you choose products and other benefits when, as a member, you buy products on karmameju.dk.

 

Membership of Klub Karmameju 

You can join Klub Karmameju completely free of charge on karmameju.dk.

To get free shipping and earn Klub Karmameju products, you must log in when you shop on karmameju.dk. You cannot transfer your Klub Karmameju products to others.

When you sign up, you must create a member profile on karmameju.dk, where you must also accept the terms of membership of Klub Karmameju and consent to us building a member profile so that we can target offers and other benefits to you.

You must have an e-mail address and be at least 16 years old to join Klub Karmameju.

As a member of Klub Karmameju, it is not possible to get free shipping to the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

When you have shopped for DKK 1,200 or more (through one or more purchases), you become eligible to choose a Klub Karmameju product from our selected products.

You will be offered a Klub Karmameju product when you join the club and on your birthday, if you have told us when it is. You can add a Klub Karmameju product to your order when it is DKK 500 or more.

 

Adjustment and expiry of your savings

If you return a product you have bought on karmameju.dk, we deduct the product’s purchase value from your Klub Karmameju savings towards the next Klub Karmameju product.

 

Your Klub Karmameju earnings never expire, but if your profile has been inactive for 2 years, we reserve the right to delete the profile and with it your Klub Karmameju earnings and any unredeemed products. We will send you an e-mail before we delete anything, so you have the chance to respond.

If your membership of Klub Karmameju is cancelled, your Klub Karmameju earnings and any unredeemed Klub Karmameju products will be deleted. 

You can only redeem a Klub Karmameju product when you have shopped for DKK 1,200 or more and therefore have DKK 1,200 in your Klub Karmameju earnings. Klub Karmameju earnings of, for example, DKK 600, or Klub Karmameju earnings that have been reduced after a return, cannot unlock a Klub Karmameju product. Klub Karmameju earnings of, for example, DKK 2,400 do not entitle you to a more valuable Klub Karmameju product, but only entitle you to redeem 2 Klub Karmameju products.

We reserve the right to deduct purchases made with special discount codes from the savings

 

Your Klub Karmameju profile page

As a Klub Karmameju member, you get your own page under “My profile” on karmameju.dk. You can log in to your profile at any time with your e-mail and your chosen password. On your page, you can see your order history and how much more you need to spend, in kroner, to be able to choose a Klub Karmameju product. You can also view and correct your personal details and adjust your consent to receive communication from us under  “Settings”.

 

How we contact you

When you join Klub Karmameju, you consent, among other things, to us contacting you with targeted tips, offers, questionnaires, invitations to competitions and events, and information about news and special campaigns relating to our product range and member services.    

We will usually send you e-mails, but in time we may also send you text messages.

 

You decide how much we may communicate with you

 

You can tell us at any time if you do not want to receive e-mails or text messages from us with marketing or news from Klub Karmameju. That way, you decide how much you want to hear from us and what you want to hear about. You adjust your permissions under “Settings” on your member profile.

 

Changes and cancellation of membership

We reserve the right to change the terms for earning, expiry and redemption of Klub Karmameju products, and to change the other member benefits, including phasing out and introducing new benefits. We may also make ongoing changes concerning our processing of your personal data.

 

Significant changes to Klub Karmameju will be notified in writing to the e-mail address provided with 1 month’s notice – it is therefore important that you keep your contact details up to date under “Settings” on karmameju.dk. In that case, your membership and Klub Karmameju earnings will remain active within the notice period. If you cannot accept the changes, you may leave Klub Karmameju before the changes take effect.

Non-significant changes and changes in your favour may be made without notice.

 

If you no longer wish to be a member of Klub Karmameju, you can leave via your profile under “Settings” and “Cancel my membership” on karmameju.dk. If you leave, you lose the right to redeem any Klub Karmameju products you may have earned and other member benefits, as this requires a valid membership.

 

Misuse of the membership may lead to permanent exclusion from Klub Karmameju and thus also to us resetting your Klub Karmameju earnings and any earned Klub Karmameju products and other club benefits. Examples of misuse include: creating several profiles for the same person, repeatedly joining and leaving in order to get the welcome product, cheating with Klub Karmameju earnings, for example if orders are repeatedly returned but the Klub Karmameju product is kept, theft or attempted theft, or unacceptable behaviour towards Karmameju’s employees.

Administration of your membership

We process your personal data in order to administer your membership of Klub Karmameju, including giving you access to your member benefits and communicating with you about your membership.

For the above purposes, we process the following information about you:

• The information you provide when you join Klub Karmameju and when you update your profile, including name, address, e-mail, phone number

• Information about your purchases on karmameju.dk, if you are logged in

• Information about your Klub Karmameju earnings and redemption of Klub Karmameju products and other member benefits

• Information collected when you communicate with us about your membership  

The legal basis for our processing is our agreement with you on membership, cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

When you are logged in as a Klub Karmameju member, we also use the above information to create a personalised experience. The legal basis for our processing is our legitimate interest in giving you a relevant experience in our channels, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

Targeted marketing and statistics

If you have given us your consent, we process personal data linked to your member account for the purpose of sending you marketing and for profiling, so that we can better target our marketing to you.

 

For the above purposes, we process the information mentioned above under “Administration of your membership” as well as the following information:  

• Information about which e-mails you open and click in

• Information about which pages you visit on karmameju.dk when you are logged in, and which products you click on and add to your basket

• Other information you give us in connection with your membership, for example information about gender and, in time, interests, children and information about your skin, your hair and product preferences

• Information about competitions you take part in

• Product reviews you submit to Karmameju

• Information collected via cookies to the extent that you have separately consented to our use of cookies

The legal basis for our processing is your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Even if you withdraw your consent to marketing, for as long as you are a member of Klub Karmameju we use all your information for internal statistics, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The purpose of this is to develop and improve Karmameju’s products and services.

 

Participation in competitions

We process the personal data you give us in connection with your participation in our competitions for the purpose of communicating with you and being able to send you any prizes.

The legal basis for our processing of your information is our legitimate interest in being able to run the competition, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

Suspected misuse

 In the event of a specific suspicion of misuse of the Klub Karmameju membership, the above information may also be used to investigate any irregularities in order to protect Karmameju’s interests. Our legal basis for processing your information for this purpose is our legitimate interest in preventing and detecting irregularities that may cause us a loss, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

Storage, cancellation and deletion:

We keep your information for as long as you are a member of Klub Karmameju. When you leave Klub Karmameju, you will immediately be blocked in our system, and you will no longer receive any Klub Karmameju communication from us. However, we only delete your membership and your information 30 days after you have left Klub Karmameju, so that we can, for example, help you if you left by mistake. If your information, or part of it, is used in a pending case, the information necessary for that processing will only be deleted once the case has been closed. We keep the personal data included on invoices issued to you in connection with purchases on karmameju.dk for 5 years after your purchase.

External partners: 

Your information is passed on to external partners who process the information on our behalf. We use external partners for, among other things, the technical operation of systems and the development and improvement of Klub Karmameju, sending newsletters and targeted marketing, including retargeting. These companies are data processors and, in accordance with our instructions, process personal data for which we are the data controller. The data processors may not use the information for any purpose other than fulfilling their agreement with us and must treat the information confidentially. We have entered into written data processing agreements with our data processors who process personal data on our behalf.

To the extent that we use data processors established outside the EU/EEA, this will always be done in compliance with valid transfer safeguards in the form of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, cf. Article 46 of the General Data Protection Regulation. If you would like a copy of the standard contractual clauses, you are welcome to contact us.

Your rights

You always have the right to access the information we have registered about you, and you can always ask us to correct or delete your information if it is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant. In that case, please contact Karmameju’s customer service at customerservice@karmameju.com. This is also where you should get in touch if you want to exercise your right to receive your information (data portability), if you want to exercise your right to have the processing of your information restricted to storage only, or if you want to object to our processing of your information for marketing. Please note that if you ask us to delete your information, it will mean that your membership of Klub Karmameju is cancelled.

You can also always correct your basic details yourself on your personal profile on karmameju.dk.

You can withdraw any consent you have given us to process your personal data at any time by leaving Klub Karmameju, or under “Settings” on karmameju.dk.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, this does not affect the lawfulness of our processing of your personal data based on your previously given consent up to the time of withdrawal. If you withdraw your consent, it therefore only takes effect from that point.

If you believe that we have breached the applicable rules on the protection of personal data in our processing of your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, tel. 33 19 32 00 or at dt@datatilsynet.dk.
