“A while back I was sent an article, based on scientific studies, that flipped my world of skincare upside down. Recent scientific studies have discovered why healthy skin is an essential part of longevity.”
From coffee in the Latin Quarter and art at ARoS to Moesgaard Beach, local favourites and the places she always returns to.

I was born and raised in Højbjerg with my mum, dad and sister. My mum is from Zealand and my dad is from Aarhus, so I really got the best of both worlds.
Today, life has brought us to Dragør, where I live with my husband and our two young boys. What drew us to Dragør was being close to both the sea and the forest. That was something we wanted for our children because I grew up surrounded by nature myself.
But every time I take the ferry home and see the harbour of Aarhus on the horizon, I immediately feel at ease. In many ways, it will always feel like home.
For me, it's Graven, the charming little street in the Latin Quarter. It holds memories of student days spent drinking beers on the curb and Chartreuse cocktails at Lecoq, nursing broken hearts – and today, coffee and sunshine at La Cabra with a close friend.
Lecoq: Graven 14, 8000 Aarhus
A large oat milk cappuccino, extra hot, and the breakfast plate at La Cabra. That's all I need.
La Cabra: Graven 20, 8000 Aarhus

I don't eat out nearly as much these days – mostly because I'm in my "kids era". But I never miss a visit to Nabo Kiosk when I'm in Aarhus. The atmosphere is so warm and familiar, I almost always bump into someone I know, and my son loves looking at – and occasionally choosing – the colourful old-fashioned sweets.
If you're visiting on a Wednesday or Saturday, the Ingerslev Farmers' Market is also a must. Beautiful flowers and wonderful fruit and vegetables from local growers.
Nabo Kiosk: Ingerslevs Pl. 1A, 8000 Aarhus
Grønttorvet: Ingerslevs Blvd. 2, 8000 Aarhus
You simply can't miss ARoS. The Rainbow Panorama alone is worth the visit.
ARoS: Aros Allé 2, 8000 Aarhus
I never miss Raasted Store whenever I'm in Aarhus. It's such an inspiring place, with a beautifully curated selection of fashion and interiors, many with Japanese design influences. It's calm, thoughtful and sensory – you come as much for the atmosphere as for the shopping.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for Moesgaard Beach. I've been coming here since I was a child, when my dad would take my sister and me on little adventures with popcorn tucked under his arm and salty liquorice fish in his pocket.
We'd walk through the forest down to the beach, collect stones and watch for herons along the shoreline. Every time I return, I instantly relax. Today, I bring my own boys here whenever we're in Aarhus. We stand by the jetty, throwing stones and sticks into the sea.

I love the gelato tapas at Mammis Gelato.

I've just spent the past month finishing “A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara, and I honestly can't remember the last time a book made me cry that much.
Now I'm ready for something a little lighter, and I'm looking forward to reading Lena Dunham's memoir ”Famesick”. I absolutely loved Girls and still rewatch it from time to time, just to reminisce and laugh about life as a young woman.
