Spice immune boosting smoothie is packed with ingredients that stimulate your senses. The smell of the smoothie makes you long for sweater weather, complete with plump orange pumpkins and golden leaves falling.

The recipe includes Vitamin A loaded ingredients. Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin therefore it is important that you add some fats to the smoothie so that the vitamins can be absorbed by the body. So, please don't skip the oils in the recipe. 

The recipe makes about ½ litre smoothie

Fruit and greens can be used frozen or fresh.

- 1 dl mango

- 1 banana

- 1/3 courgette

- Juice of 1 orange

- 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

- 1 teaspoon honey 

- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

- A pinch of each of these spices: cloves, ginger, nutmeg

- 1 dl plant based drink**

- 2 dl water, coconut water or herbal tea***

- 1 teaspoon linseed oil

- 2 teaspoons olive oil, coconut oil or another oil 

    If you like spicy ingredients add anti-inflammatory chili or cayenne pepper.

    Add lemon juice for a fresh, slightly sour flavour

    *These can be fresh or powdered 

    **Options include oar drink, rice drink or almond drink.

    ***Make a pot of tea in the evening before going to bed. Let it cool overnight so it will be ready to add to your smoothie in the morning. 

    Preparation

    Put all ingredients in the blender except for the oil. Blend until the smoothie. is creamy with no lumps.

    Add the linseed and olive oil and blend for another 10 seconds until the smoothie is ready to drink.
