Antioxidant Vitamin C smoothie
Vitamin C is an important antioxidant that contributes to the functioning of the immune system, which protects your body from bacteria and viruses. Our bodies cannot produce vitamin C and it is essential that we get it through the food we consume.
In addition, vitamin C helps to strengthen your skin from within and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C fights off free radicals and helps restore and protect the skin.
This recipe makes about ½ litre of smoothie.
The fruit and vegetables used can be frozen or fresh.
- ¼ red pepper
- 5 clumps of frozen spinach
- 1 banana
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ passion fruit
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons sunflower seeds
- 3 dl water, coconut water or cold herbal tea*
- 1 teaspoon linseed oil
- 2 teaspoon olive oil
