Dark circles under the eyes are not always a sign of a lack of sleep. They may also be due to increased pigment, while brown spots/patches or hyperpigmentation on the face are often age spots or due to hormonal changes, such as pregnancy, old injuries such as scars, sun damage and much more besides.
